Happy Pride Month everyone! Not only is Pride a celebration of yourself but it's also a demonstration of love and acceptance for one another. The LGBTQ community is made up of people of every color and creed and every walk of life. I love seeing the parents of PFLAG marching at Pride parades with signs reading "I love my gay son", "I love my trans daughter" or some other similar declaration. It's beautiful. Pride not only serves as an important reminder of where we've come from, what we've been through and all that we've endured, both as a community and as individuals on our own journeys of self discovery but it also gives our allies an opportunity to show their support for us.
