Always the It girl of magazines Paper Magazine was on the forefront of modern subculture. Paper Magazine was edgy, unpredictable and a predictor of what was cool and coming round the bend in fashion, music and art. Coming from the 80's NY downtown club/art scene made many want to move to NYC. Responsible for setting trends and breaking the internets, Paper Magazines close marks the end of an era. Helmed by the adorable NY icon Mickey Boardman for 3O years, Mickey has seen it all and done it all. I wonder what's next for Mickey? Hopefully unemployment checks and some well deserved Mickey time!

The world fell in love with Lukas Gage who played the more than willing bellboy from the first White Lotus. Now Lukas has fallen madly in love and has gotten hitched with the coolest wedding ever! He's married handsome hair artist Chris Appleton who probably does Kim K's hair and holds all her secrets cuz how else do you get her to officiate your big nups? Plus Shania Twain surprised and serenaded them and their guests. Now that's class! I've also decided that a black fake monkey fur hair coat is the new tuxedo!

Lizzo Brings Out the Queens in Tennessee

 

The only bad thing a drag queen has ever done to me is severely entertain me and make me run to the cash machine, then try and find dollar bills at a packed bar. So, I'm having a hard time understanding the laws against drag queens recently passed in Tennessee. Which, come to think of it, could be the birthplace of drag since that's where Dolly Parton is from (hmmm 🤔). Unkown herstories aside, Lizzo made herstory in Tennessee by proudly trotting out the RuPaul's Drag Race gals to slay on stage as she hollas 'Support your drag queens!' It's about damn time!

Elements of a great romcom are a good looking cast with hot jobs, hot apartmets but no love. If you have all three, lucky you! Celine Dion may only have two of these three at the moment, but at least she is in an upcoming major motion picture Love Again! As well as singing the movies song by the same name just for a lil' extra cha-chings. Oh yeah the movie also includes Sam Heughan, Priyanka Chopra and her hubby Nick Jonas. Now that I'm thinking about it, that would be one hot throuple!

Billy Porter Playing James Baldwin in Biopic

 

The first love story I ever read that gave me hope for love was Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin. Billy Porter will be palying the prolific author in a soon to be made biopic. The first time I saw Billy Porter perform was in Kinky Boots on Broadway and Billy gave me chills down my spine! Now I fully expect for those chills to multiply when I get to see this movie.

Wednesday is Hunkday!

Tyler Posey is the perfect Wednesday Hunkday specimen. Cute, funny, talented and doesn't take himself too seriously. Taking the piss out of yourself and going for the laugh is the direct route to my heart! So do Tyler a solid and go buy his album. He may need the money to buy a shirt ;)

 

Madonna Showed Up in Brooklyn

 

Madonna probably recorded Antiques Road Show to make it over the East River in time to watch the Brooklyn queens slay and shablam at the 3 Dollar Bill. Madge stayed up way later than me on Monday which makes me think she is tirelessly scouting for some new dancers/moves to take on tour with her this year. If so, she's come to the right place becasue Brooklyn does it better!

My most favorite things in the wolrd may seem weird and strange to most, but for me absurdity and creativity trump everything in a good way. My favorite transformer Alexis Stone fits the bill for me brialliantly and keeps my eyeballs entertained! Here madmoiselle Stone Jumps for joy and becomes the provocateur designer Jean Paul Gaultier for some serious stunting in a kooky fashiony way in gay Paris. This is silicone used in the proper way, on you not in you!

 

Wednesday is Hunkday!

I consider myself an investigative journalist/detective of hunks and I have deduced that Sam Salter is Wednesday Hunkday worthy! This dancer/model/socialmedia darling is the kind of guy you would want to spend a day at the beach with followed by a long disco nap. Then get up, get ready and put something super cute on to go out to the club and dance all night long till the the break break break of dawn! Seems like a good pretend plan to me. Sam you down?

Dua Lipa in Barbie Movie

 

At first I was kind of meh about the balleyhooed Barbie movie coming out this summer, starring Margot Robie and hadsome pants Ryan Gosling also directed by former indie It girl now Hollywood player, Greta Gerwig. I was mostly meh because I just could not wrap my head around it, but now I'm levitaiting with excitement since I just found out Dua Lipa is in it! Ms. Lipa's music got me thorugh that pesky pandemic like no other making me a loyal fan fer life so I hope she sings a catchy tune fer it too ! That said count me in for two tickets to a discount matinee of this sure to be cinematic masterpiece!
