Happy Pride Month everyone! Not only is Pride a celebration of yourself but it's also a demonstration of love and acceptance for one another. The LGBTQ community is made up of people of every color and creed and every walk of life. I love seeing the parents of PFLAG marching at Pride parades with signs reading "I love my gay son", "I love my trans daughter" or some other similar declaration. It's beautiful. Pride not only serves as an important reminder of where we've come from, what we've been through and all that we've endured, both as a community and as individuals on our own journeys of self discovery but it also gives our allies an opportunity to show their support for us. Not like I was there or anything, but after watching E and following everyone on the Gram it's like I went to fancy church yesterday. There were pope hats galore, short longs and as many trains as the MTA. This insta moment with Amber Valletta, Zoë Kravitz and Kate Moss is really all you need to see.
