Love, Victor Season 2 Coming Very Soon

 


When one show ends another begins and such is the cycle of life. Looks like Love Simon's baby brother hulu show, Love Victor will gently fill that void. I find high school dramas unbearable, just like I did high school, but this show has a heart that has warmed my ice cold one. Latinx cutie patootie, Victor Salazar, plays a convincing teen who proudly comes out to the world, only to face the realities you may not expect when you are coming out so young. Let the drama unfold and it better be cute!

Pose Season Finale Tonight

 

 

Raise a glass and bid adieu to Pose as it's the season finale tonight. I'm sad to see this phenomenal show come to and end. It is always better to end on a high than go on and on and become stale then irrelevent.  This plucky little show that could, captured my heart and brought all these talented, beautiful people to the attention of the planet. Congratultions to Jantet Mock and Steven Canals the creators of Pose for keeping the drama on point and launching the careers of Dominique Jackson, MJ Rodriguez & Indya Moore. And thank you for giving the imcomparable Billy Porter a world stage to catapult him into the upper stratasphere of popular cultcha! Farewll Pose and thank you for opening our hearts.

When I say Rihanna does, I mean she done did it all for the June Italian Vogue cover! For this do it yourself issue RiRi shot, styled, designed, wrote, printed and sold them on the corner. Well, not all that really, but that's how I pictured it when I read all about it. Let's just say that Rihanna is a true Renaissance person! What can't she do? Move over bacon, here comes Ririlean!

I firmly believe that you can have whatever you want in heaven, especially big birthday parites! I'm sure everyone who's anyone who's dead will be at Marilyn Monroe's big HBD party in the sky, or wherever heaven is to you. Marilyn's probably sipping champagne with Gandhi, although I'm not sure he drank. I bet Julia Child probably made the cake. HBD Grace Jones! ๐ŸŽˆ

 

Grace Jones pulled up to my bumper when I was but a wee wee lad setting my heart, ears and eyeballs aflutter with her lewks and music.  High fashion model turned musician, turned Hollywood actress in the 80's as the villainess May Day in the Bond film A View to a Kill.  I was lucky enough to see her perform at The Copa in Ft. Lauderdale back in the day. Her performance was transformative in how I percieved music and performance. She made it an artform. Ms. Jones is an international superstar whose epic persona continues to beguile us. Happiest of Birthdays my goddess of the night!
