If you haven't come across Shabaz Says yet on your own or by your bff, I'm honored to introduce you! Usually I spend all day after The Met Gala scouring all the internets to find my favorites then think of something witty and nice to say about it, becasue if you don't have something nice to say then don't get out of bed. Kind of like Shabaz Says does as he breaks it down and sums up what we are all really thinking. I was about to chatgpti this post, but Shabaz has yet again saved the day by calling them as he sees them!

Met Gala Honoring Karl Lagerfeld Tonight!

 

Tonight is the night fashions gliteratti shines bright and shows up and shows off how fashion is done at the Met Gala tonight. Cara Delevigne may have been his final muse and it's clear here that Cara got the memo. Will everyone else stay on trend? I would love it if Rihanna came in homage as Karl's best friend Andre Leon Talley. I'm also praying that Doja Cat was invited and she comes as Karls cherished kitty cat Choupette!

Always the It girl of magazines Paper Magazine was on the forefront of modern subculture. Paper Magazine was edgy, unpredictable and a predictor of what was cool and coming round the bend in fashion, music and art. Coming from the 80's NY downtown club/art scene made many want to move to NYC. Responsible for setting trends and breaking the internets, Paper Magazines close marks the end of an era. Helmed by the adorable NY icon Mickey Boardman for 3O years, Mickey has seen it all and done it all. I wonder what's next for Mickey? Hopefully unemployment checks and some well deserved Mickey time!

The world fell in love with Lukas Gage who played the more than willing bellboy from the first White Lotus. Now Lukas has fallen madly in love and has gotten hitched with the coolest wedding ever! He's married handsome hair artist Chris Appleton who probably does Kim K's hair and holds all her secrets cuz how else do you get her to officiate your big nups? Plus Shania Twain surprised and serenaded them and their guests. Now that's class! I've also decided that a black fake monkey fur hair coat is the new tuxedo!

Lizzo Brings Out the Queens in Tennessee

 

The only bad thing a drag queen has ever done to me is severely entertain me and make me run to the cash machine, then try and find dollar bills at a packed bar. So, I'm having a hard time understanding the laws against drag queens recently passed in Tennessee. Which, come to think of it, could be the birthplace of drag since that's where Dolly Parton is from (hmmm 🤔). Unkown herstories aside, Lizzo made herstory in Tennessee by proudly trotting out the RuPaul's Drag Race gals to slay on stage as she hollas 'Support your drag queens!' It's about damn time!
