Ring in 2020 Like a Dance Monkey

This catchy lil' ditty by Tones and I is EVERYTHING to me right now. It will probably be stuck in my head on repeat and could very easily last all decade. I also really, really love this video! It's so unsexy, uncool and unpretntious. Like a breath of fresh! The 2010's were about trying too hard to be liked & pretneding to be rich whilst in debt. Disposable fashion and the overbranding of everyone and everything became sickeningly ok. Influencers oversold their sexy in the cloud. DJ's, Pop tartlets, Rappers and the like throwing hunny dolla bills around made it rain way too much for my umbrella. In retrospect the 10's were a decade of excess. 2020 will be the exact opposite, I hope?!?! Where less is more and being happy doesn't mean over 100k likes or cost a gazilion dollars. Don't get me wrong we all need money to pay the bills, bills, bills,  but do we need to consume for the mere sake of consuming? Okay, I'm done preaching my gospel for the upcoming decade. Back to my erratically unschedule vapid programming.

Beyoncé took some time off to do some real people things like parachute to the laundromat, beauty parlor, and a grocery! She somehow got everyone to give her some space and let her hang out by herself for a day. Me time is so important. By the looks of these ensembles Solange may have styled her for this day out. Elle, me likey!

Mariah Carey is Number One 25 Years Later

Mariah Carey sings a little xmas ditty called All I Want for Christmas, You may have heard it. It's amazingly hit number 1 on the Billboard charts 25 holidays later.  I went through a major all I want for xmas phase a few years ago, ask my neighbors. All I got for xmas was xmas was a cease and desist. I'm sure I bumped her up a few thousand views on the Youtubes. Sparkle butterfly sparkle!

Cardi B with child got herself a Vogue cover. When you landed in our hearts wearing red bottom shoes I knew the only way was up for you! Surprisingly Cardi is the first female rapper to get a Vogue cover. What a way to start 2020!

To be the face of a new decade is to be expected from Taylor Swift. She sure shook her little butt off in the 2010's!  Not sure what we will call the 10's but I'm ready to call the 2020's the roaring 20's, but you really don't get to name a decade til after it's done. Anyhoo, when did British Vogue get better than American Vogue?
