Lizzo and Macaulay Sitting in a Tree


In grade school when two different people are seen together everyone thinks they are K,I,S,S,I,N,G which is probably not the case with Lizoo and Macaulauy Culkin. One of my most favorite things is when people who you would never expect to be friends are friends. Kind of like when a cat befriends a baby duck or a crotchety elderly man raises a precocious child like Punky Brewster. It proves that we can all get along. Sometime the most unlikely duos can bring unity amongst us and make you feel good as hell!

When I think of classy french ladies Catherine Deneuve effortlessy wafts to the top of my mental list like smoke from a Gaulousise cigarette. Madame Deneuve started her carreer working with avant garde directors Buñuel and Truffaut. Her role in the 80's film The Hunger forever emblazoned her as the chicest Vampire ever. HBD Mme Deneuve!

Taylor Swift sang us her song Lover and did a mighty fine job. Yes, I'm now a Swifty. So what you gonna do about it? I really love the word lover and prefer it over husband, boyfriend or señorita. Lover just rolls off the tounge like the word lasagña does. Oh yeah, streaming it girl, Phoebe Waller-Bridge hosted as well.

RIP Diahann Carroll




Diahann Carroll was the first blackai woman to have her own show, Julia, on television about a nurse in the 60's paving the way for entertainers to come. Later she most famuosly played Dominque Deveraux, Alexis Carringtons rival on Dynasty. The legend oozed grace & glamour & stood toe to toe with the best. RIP Gorgeous!

Hustlers Lived Up to the Hype



Skipped the debate last night & went to see Hustlers instead. Wise choice in retrospect. “This whole country is a strip club, they throw money at us & we keep dancing.” Jlo deserves the Oscar buzz. Constance Wu was the heart, Cardi b left you wanting more & Lizzo fluted it up. I also really like that Keke Palmer. FYI, I want a Swavroski Hunny clutch too!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯 🍅🍅

Ariana, Miley & Lana Oh My



Little did I know there was another Charlie's Angels until last night when I saw the preview at the Hustlers movie. Kstew looked like she was having fun in the preview. I had no clue who the other girls in the movie were, but I did recognize Parker Posey as Bosley. That was cute. Anyhoos, I digress this post is about the trifecta of songbirds singing a song about angels. I would have done it totally different, but who am I to judge. I hope this makes God happy. I think she's a woman.

It's like she snuck in my back door recently with her pretty new make up line HAUS LABORATORIES. Considering she's worn so much of it, I'm sure she could work a counter at Sephora real good. Wednesday is Hunkday!



Never Limit Yourself. Growing up I was always told and shown that chasing a dream was impossible. That you should stick to getting a normal job and living a normal life. Now there is nothing wrong with that, but when I tried to get a normal job. Even then I wouldn’t get hired. If only you could see the list of places that turned me down. One day, it clicked. That I can clearly fail at leading a “normal” life so I might as well chase my dreams. It’s been difficult. Challenging. Even Terrifying at times. But it’s also been more rewarding and fulfilling than I can describe with words. This journey has introduced me to people and places I could have only dreamed of. Friendships I could only have imagined. I’ve wanted to make movies and be on tv since I could walk. And I’ve done that. But I’m just getting started. It’s like anything in life, what you put in.. you get out. Much like my body, coming from a skinny insecure kid. To building the man you see before you, brick by brick. Anything is possible. All you have to do is imagine it. Believe in it and yourself, more than anyone else ever could.

Missy Elliott Gets the Lifetime VMA from Cardi B



Missy Elliott did what she do, she worked it, and of course it was worth it! She put that thing down, flipped it and then reversed it! As one does. Cardi B fan girled out her presenting to her. The love in the room for  Missy was palpable. 16 years later she is still relevant and needs to tour again!

RIP Isabel Toledo



Isabel Toledo and her devoted husband Ruben Toledo were the IT kids of fashion in the late 80's and 90's. Their style was modern and classic. They always made a woman look like a Lady. Including the First Lady Michelle Obama who wore a dress by Isabel for the inauguration. I saw them on a plane from Miami once and they exuded style and grace. The devotion and love they had for eachother was a rare jewel most marveled at. Their last show was at the Detroit Institute of Arts where their passion for fashion and art came together to cause wonder yet again. Rest in Power.
